The game is played with three dice.
The three dice can be of any two colors. For example, one red dice and two black dice:

Upon each turn, a player rolls the three dice and can then move one piece (angel or archangel) as guided by the dice result and as detailed in Movement and actions of the pieces.
One dice of one color (in the example above: red) is the solitary color dice, to be used in cases as explained below.
From the first turn and on, when a player who has rolled the 3 dice and gets two or three dice that total 7 (for example: 3-4-1, 6-2-5, 1-3-3, and so on), a State of Seven is declared, allowing the following:
The player can choose any individual number (1 to 6) of any of the three dice for playing the turn. Only one dice number (1 to 6) of the three can be chosen to play the turn, not any total.
The player is then awarded with another subsequent roll and turn (the other player must forego a turn).
Multiple consecutive turns of a single player can continue, if the player keeps getting two or three dice that total 7.
After rolling, if two (a pair) of the three dice are showing an identical number, the player can choose either that individual identical number (not the total) or the number showing on the remaining single dice.
After rolling, if no identical number appears, and no two or three dice total 7 (no State of Seven), the player is required to use the number of shown on the predefined solitary color dice.
A player who rolls three sixes (6-6-6) automatically loses the game and the opponent player is awarded 77 points.
Except the three sixes rule above, a player gets an identical number (other than 6) showing on all three dice (for example: 1-1-1, 4-4-4), a state of Three Sequential Turns is declared, and the player can and must play with three different pieces – three consecutive legal turns that match the shown number (including archangel swapping if there is no advantageous move; see Movement and actions of the pieces).
